On Thursday June 12, 2014, Rocco attended the Army Birthday Gala in New York City during Army Week. The Army celebrates it’s 239th Birthday today. To celebrate, Rocco helped to cut the Birthday cake with U.S. Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Ray Odierno and Pfc. Louis Angelici.

Rocco was drafted into the Army at age 17 in 1943, and went on to fought in D-Day at Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bugle in Belgium. He was honored to be a part of this week’s celebration.
